Leslie G. Johnson
Hon. Leslie G. Johnson has had a colorful and decorated career from the bench to administration. When first elected in 1977, Judge Johnson was the youngest Circuit Court Judge in the State of Alabama, and he would go on to serve the citizens of Lauderdale County, Alabama, in this capacity for the next fourteen years. After retiring from the bench, Judge Johnson was appointed as the administrator of the State of Alabama court system by Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Ernest C. Hornsby. After managing the State of Alabama court system for two years, Judge Johnson served in various roles with the Mississippi Judicial College at the University of Mississippi. In 2006, Judge Johnson became a founding member of Johnson, Paseur & Medley, LLC, where he maintains an active mediation practice.

Judge Paseur and her husband, Tom Greene, are very proud of their blended family which includes 5 children and their spouses, and 7 grandchildren!
Attorney M. Keith Medley, along with retired Judges Leslie G. Johnson and Deborah Bell Paseur, founded the law firm of Johnson, Paseur & Medley, LLC in 2010 after practicing over 13 years in two highly respected and recognized law firms in Huntsville and Florence, Alabama, and serving as managing partner since 2010. He draws on that experience to offer his clients throughout Alabama and other states representation regarding a variety of matters, from pre-suit disputes, through all phases of litigation, as well as mediation. His practice areas include personal injury, wrongful death, significant truck accidents, worker’s comp litigation, motor vehicle accidents, social security disability, and all probate matters, including wills and trusts.
Practicing for More Than 25 Years
Mr. Medley’s background is not a typical one found for an attorney, as his career began as an electrician, both in construction and maintenance areas. He served an apprenticeship as a member of IBEW Local Union #558, which was from 1985-1989. He then worked as an electrician while completing his B.S. Degree and, in 1992, entered law school while working as a Facilities Director of a University. Mr. Medley graduated from law school and began his practice in the spring of 1996.
Mr. Medley’s background aids him in understanding his client’s needs and their struggles due to injury, loss of life, or problems they may face at some point in their lives.
Adam B. Burchell joined Johnson, Paseur & Medley, LLC, and became a partner in 2013. Adam brings a variety of skill sets to his clients, and his diversity serves his clients well in the courtroom and the board room. Adam maintains an active contract-based practice that ranges from transactional work to false claims act litigation. Before entering the practice of law, Adam served in a management role with a local healthcare company.
A Birmingham native, Michael Carr earned his Bachelor’s from UAB and J.D. from Cumberland School of Law before heading north and making his new home in Florence, Alabama. After several years of practicing general civil litigation and insurance defense, Michael found his true passion helping aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners plan and structure their transactions to hopefully avoid litigation from the outset.
With that goal in mind, Michael formed and managed ‘The Law Offices of L. Michael Carr, LLC’ where he worked as a solo-practitioner for the better part of a decade, assisting commercial clients and people of all stripes with sophisticated business, tax, & estate planning issues.
Michael proudly joined Johnson, Paseur, & Medley, LLC in 2023, where he seeks to continue offering business planning, tax planning, and estate planning services to an even wider and more diverse clientele.
